- 1. Real personNot stated
Person · Not stated
Still open: Captured by Satellogic satellites, not people.
- 2. Captured locallyNot stated
Camera · Not stated
Still open: Not a signed capture, so none (STANDARD §3). What is stated: Captures come from Satellogic's own NewSat satellites; package names carry the satellite (e.g. SN43). Sensor identity is operator-asserted.
Place · Claimed. Orthorectified products; geoaccuracy measured against an ESRI basemap (CE90 and RMSE, at least 30 match points). Vendor deck: 30 m CE90 for L1 Basic and Ortho-Ready, 10 m CE90 for Ortho (with ground control points).
Still open: Satellogic says the ESRI reference basemap's accuracy is 'variable and unknown'; per-image accuracy reports were not found in public docs.
Needs both: the weaker one counts.
- 3. Genuine deviceNot stated
App · Not stated
Still open: No device or ground-segment attestation is documented. The signed delivery manifest is a statement over delivered files, recorded under provenance.receipt.
- 4. Sealed captureNot stated
Camera · Not stated
Still open: Not a signed capture, so none (STANDARD §3). What is stated: Captures come from Satellogic's own NewSat satellites; package names carry the satellite (e.g. SN43). Sensor identity is operator-asserted.
Content · Not stated
Still open: Capture and deliverable quality-control steps exist (QC events), but there is no documented method for detecting manipulated imagery.
- 5. Known timestampReported
Time · Claimed. Capture time is in the package's STAC metadata and the capture events (CaptureCollectionStarted, CaptureAcquired); the signed delivery manifest (provenance.receipt) covers the metadata files.
Still open: How capture times are validated is not documented, and the signature only dates from processing.
A time stated, not attested (RFC 3161, a log): Reported.
- 6. Tracked in transitNot stated
Custody record (optional field) · Not stated
- 7. Independently verifiedNot stated
Cross-check · Not stated
Still open: No documented cross-check against other sensors for delivered scenes (radiometric cross-calibration with Sentinel-2 is a calibration step, not corroboration).
- 8. Delivered to youClaimed
Delivery receipt (optional field) · Claimed. Since 8 September 2025 every delivery package includes a SHA-256 manifest of all files, signed with Satellogic's RSA-4096 key (PKCS#1 v1.5) when the package is generated; the public key is at https://api.satellogic.com/.well-known/publickey.pem. public evidence
Still open: Not evidenced: on 2026-10-26 none of 102 signed public sample packages verified against the published key, though their file hashes matched their manifests; re-tested 2026-10-28 on an SN43 Baotou L0 package, verification failed with an RSA padding error (a different key). Signed at processing, not capture: it shows files are unchanged since Satellogic generated the package, not what the sensor recorded, and it is not bound to your request or a nonce.

Notes
About. Operator of the NewSat constellation of high-resolution (70 cm native, 50 cm super-resolved on Mark V) multispectral RGB-NIR satellites. Its Aleph platform and Orders API (v2) let contract holders analyse future capture opportunities and order new captures: Standard Tasking of a point, Standard Area Coverage of a polygon, Rush Tasking, Rush Tasking with Rapid Delivery (3 hours from capture to delivery) and Site Monitoring. Products, defaults and prices are set per contract by account managers; the free trial has no tasking or API access. Delivery packages carry an RSA-signed SHA-256 manifest.
Price. from_usd 0 means unknown, not free. Satellogic publishes no price list and no price endpoint; contracts are set up by account managers, and its licence says prices are quoted in USD unless the order form says otherwise and that rights options change the price. Reseller UP42 lists Satellogic tasking from 30,000 credits per scene (100 credits = EUR 1, so about EUR 300) and archive from 500 credits per km².
Coverage. Optical: needs daylight and clear sky. Tasking needs an account with tasking permissions on a contract. Imagery of listed conflicted or restricted areas (including parts of Afghanistan, China, India, Iran, Israel, Gaza, Pakistan, Russia, Ukraine's Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk, Venezuela and others) is 'prohibited from general sale' and needs a case-by-case determination with enhanced due diligence on the customer; Satellogic may delay delivery or reduce resolution there.
Timing. Satellogic Tasking Products page, capture to delivery latency: 'Standard Tasking (POI) 24Hs ... Rush Tasking 6Hs ... Rush Tasking with Rapid Delivery 3Hs'. Vendor deck: 'Tasking: Up to 6hrs before capture'.
Licence. Imagery End User Licence Agreement (July 2025): a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable licence for the customer's internal use or stated business purpose; derivatives only as minor adaptations, and products shared outside the organisation must contain no imagery pixels. Title and all IP stay with Satellogic. Resale, redistribution, public display and third-party training are forbidden without extra rights (Integrator, Group, Government, Media or Commercial Redistribution grants). Model training is prohibited unless explicitly authorised in an executed agreement, and no machine learning, AI or biometric technology may be used to identify natural persons (clause 1.3(a)(iv)). Attribution 'Powered by SATELLOGIC (c) [YEAR]' is required. Satellogic may later put licensed imagery in a public archive unless an archive holdback (48 h, 30 days or permanent) is bought.
