    Person · Not stated

Still open: Captured by satellites; no per-person identity check applies. Buyers are KYB/KYC checked, which is a requester check, not a capture guarantee.

  2. 2. Captured locallyNot stated

    Camera · Not stated

Still open: Not a signed capture, so none (STANDARD §3). What is stated: Metadata file in the delivered package. Sensor identity comes from Pixxel's own metadata XML (capture date, sensor details, processing and copyright information) in each package.

    Place · Claimed

Still open: Deliveries are UTM GeoTIFFs plus a footprint GeoJSON; no accuracy figure or independent check was read.

Needs both: the weaker one counts.

  3. 3. Genuine deviceNot stated

    App · Not stated

Still open: No device or app attestation is documented for delivered files.

  4. 4. Sealed captureNot stated

    Camera · Not stated

Still open: Not a signed capture, so none (STANDARD §3). What is stated: Metadata file in the delivered package. Sensor identity comes from Pixxel's own metadata XML (capture date, sensor details, processing and copyright information) in each package.

    Content · Not stated

Still open: No integrity or anti-manipulation method (signing, hashes) is documented; cloud cover is a request constraint, not a guarantee.

  5. 5. Known timestampReported

    Time · Claimed

Still open: Capture time is in Pixxel's metadata; no independent time-stamp scheme is documented.

Notes

About. Pixxel (Bengaluru and US) sells hyperspectral satellite imagery from its own Firefly constellation through its Aurora platform: tasking orders (single or recurring) over a GeoJSON polygon and capture window, archive search and order, and delivery to a cloud store, all through a bearer-token REST API (api.pixxel.space/v0) or the Order Desk web app. Tasking is priced per km² in prepaid tokens (1 token = 1 USD); accounts must pass KYB or KYC before the Order Desk opens.

Price. Pricing docs: tasking VNIR $8/km²; archive VNIR $6/km² (20% off if older than a year); 1 token = 1 USD. Tasking API doc: orders under 100 km² are billed as 100 km². Cloud cover up to 10% adds 15%; up to 20% no uplift. Express 24 h delivery is listed as coming soon (+20%). Other bandsets and analytics have separate pricing not read.

Coverage. No country list or geographic limit found in the docs read. Coverage depends on Firefly orbits, weather and scheduling; the feasibility check returns feasible, not feasible or failed.

Timing. Pricing page: 'Regular Tasking: Provides a capture window of minimum 14 days'; tasking guide: 'Standard' delivery '72 hours' from capture.

Licence. Pixxel Imagery EULA v1.0 (23 May 2025): limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence for internal use (reformat, copy, modify, display on an isolated non-commercial basis, share with need-to-know contractors). Without Pixxel's written permission you may not sublicense, sell, rent, lease or transfer imagery to a third party. Pixxel owns the imagery and 'may retain copies of any or all Imagery and data its satellite collects for any purpose'. The EULA does not mention AI or ML training.
